In order to gain knowledge about our environment and how one can contribute toward its betterment “Eco Club” at ST. Johns college of arts and science, Ammandivilai, is formed this club organizes activities and program to increase awareness among students about imp[proving environmental conditions such as reducing pollution, planting trees, saving waters etc.

Eco club at this college will help the students to understand their pivotal role in conserving natural resources and limiting waste as their participation in various activites will help them to understand, have respect and care for their environment.

Objectives

1. To create awareness of local environmental issues among the students.
2. To knowledge them about the medical properties of flora.
3. To teach them solid waste management technique and organic framing.
4. The idea of making WORLD SPARROW DAY came up during and informal discussion at nature forever society.
5. To motivate students to practice plantation of those trees that have specific properties like controlling air pollution.
